AERCE, the Spanish Association of Purchasing, Contracting and Procurement Professionals, has recognised our commitment to research, development and innovation (I+D+i) and technological development.
* Winner in the category of Innovation in Purchasing.
* Special award for Purchasing Manager of the Year (Javier Suárez Alonso, Director of Operations and Management Control – COO).
* Second prize as a company in the category of Transformation of Purchasing.
AERCE’s Diamante de la Compra® awards are designed to recognise the work and the individual efforts of companies and employees involved in the area of purchasing.
For Reny Picot, it is an honour to receive these awards as recognition of the great job we do as a team on a daily basis, developing and advancing in all areas of the company so we can offer to our consumers the widest range of products of the very highest quality.
This has allowed us to become the first dairy company worldwide to obtain the certification of excellence according to the European Purchasing Standard UNE 15896.
What is the significance of the AERCE Diamante de la Purchase® Awards’?
Innovation in Purchasing
This recognises a project, action or initiative that demonstrates genuine innovation. The award goes to a purchasing team that can demonstrate a new method or approach to a task that presents a challenge.
This award comes to us thanks to our technological development. This includes the implementation of the MOM software (Manufacturing Operations Management), which provides real-time tracking, management and control of the principle raw materials and a global vision of the production process to help us achieve maximum quality and efficiency in our factories, and the ProductSpherabasado project, which is a collaborative I-Cloud platform for the management of products and suppliers.
Special Award for Purchasing Manager of the Year
This recognises the work of a purchasing manager who has made significant contribution to the development and application of an initiative in purchasing and procurement management that is key to the whole organisation.
In this case, the award goes to our own Director of Operations and Management Control (COO), Javier Suárez Alonso. We offer him our sincere congratulations for this well-deserved recognition.
Transformation in Purchasing
This recognises a successful project of wide-spread change in purchasing in all its aspects of organisation, processes and tools.
The transformation in purchasing has enabled us to obtain the certification of Excellence in Purchasing Management UNE 15896:2015 and to achieve the prestigious ‘P’ accreditation for ‘quality Procurement Management’, granted by AERCE and IFPMS (the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management).
